Donation to Club des petits déjeuners du Québec (CPDQ).
On behalf of our members, the Records Management Institute (RMI) makes a donation to a worthy charity every Christmas. This donation is made from the proceeds of the sale of tickets for our christmas draws (baskets and such). Each year, the RMI Executive meets to discuss which charity will be the recipient of each year's proceeds. The decision is made with the intent of reaching out to a varied number of charities that touch many of our members - either personally or via a known acquaintance.
Last Christmas, the Executive chose the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec (CPDQ). We made the decision with the belief that our members would be proud to know that, by purchasing tickets for our Christmas draws, they were actually providing needy children with a nourishing breakfast, when, often, there would be none.
Last March, we received a thank you letter for our $150.00 donation and would like to share the message with you. As you will note, they have raised over 2 million dollars via a Radiodon with the radio station RockDétente FM (see below for the letter). Also, with donations received since 1994, CPDQ added 212 schools from poor neighbourhoods to its breakfast-for-kids program.
The RMI executive would like to thank our members for making this donation possible. We will continue to make these christmas donations from the proceeds of our christmas draws and would welcome any suggestions you may have. Should you know of a local charity that would benefit from our collective efforts, then please feel freed to contact Lee Armstrong, RMI Public Relations Director, Lee.Armstrong@cic.gc.ca and, the Executive can make the choice on your behalf and notify you at a later date.

Thank You from the RMI Executive.
